General Characteristics Of Axial Flow Pumps

(1) The direction of water flow in an axial flow pump is along the axial direction of the impeller, which is why it is called an axial flow pump.
(2) Low head (1-13 meters), high flow rate, and high efficiency, suitable for drainage and irrigation in plains, lake areas, and river areas.
(3) No need to water before starting, simple operation.

Mixed Flow Pump
1. Working principle of mixed flow pump
Due to the shape of the impeller of a mixed flow pump being between that of a centrifugal pump impeller and an axial flow pump impeller, the working principle of a mixed flow pump involves both centrifugal force and lift. With the combined effect of the two, water flows out of the impeller at a certain angle to the shaft and is lifted to a higher position through the volute chamber and pipeline.

2. General characteristics of mixed flow pumps
(1) Compared with centrifugal pumps, mixed flow pumps have lower head and higher flow rate, while compared with axial flow pumps, they have higher head and lower flow rate. Suitable for drainage and irrigation in plains and lake areas.
(2) Water flows in and out of a mixed flow pump at a certain angle to the impeller shaft, hence it is also known as a diagonal flow pump.
